Nina Bess

Nina Jean Murphy Bess, 62, of Orange, passed away on May 8, 2022, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

A memorial gathering will be from 5:00 to 8:00p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Nina was born in Orange, Texas, on October 15, 1959, she was the daughter of Dalton and Dorothy Farris Murphy. She was a dedicated employee at Walgreens for over 20 years. Nina was a big music fan, especially classic rock, and made sure to attend concerts often. She enjoyed spending time on the river with her husband and gardening in her spare time, she was known to have a green thumb. Nina also loved interior decorating and even made some of her own décor. She was an avid movie lover, her favorite being old black and white movies. Nina loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. She was always a patient and dedicated person who took care of business and didn’t let anyone down. Nina was deeply loved and will be missed by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Dorothy Murphy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Michael Bess; children, Joshua Murphy of Bridge City, Samuel Bess of Orange; grandchildren, Cayden Peveto, Joshua Murphy, Jr.; and brother, Dalton Murphy.
