Norma Fisher Payne, 65, of Orange, died, Monday, August 13, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hermann Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend David Berkheimer of Community Church in Orange will officiate.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Payne was born on January 2, 1942, in Natchitoches, LA, to Monroe Clyde Fisher and Lois Anne McCarey Fisher. She grew up in Robeline, LA, later moving to Orange where she was a homemaker and was known for her love of gardening and her green thumb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, William Wayland Payne; daughters, Katherine Elaine Thrailkille and husband Danny of Orange, Kimberly Laverne Alexander and husband George of Lake Charles, LA, son William David Payne, II and wife Stacee of Orange; grandchildren, Sara Thrailkille, Derrick Payne and fiancée Rachel Harper, Kara Droddy, Katy Thrailkille, Wesley Thrailkille, Brandee Payne, Cassee Payne; three great grandchildren.
Surviving her also are brothers and sisters, Billy Ray Fisher of Orange, Johnette Jackson of Vinton, LA, Truman S. Fisher of McNeil, AR and Brenda Hebert of Orange.
