Norma Mae Hoffpauir, 67, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hosptial in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, TX. Brother Rod Boyer and Brother Roy Hoosier of the Bethel Grove Pentecostal Church in Merryville, LA will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens between Bridge City and Orange.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Claybar Bridge City Chapel from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hoffpauir was born in DeQuincy, LA on June 17, 1941. Her parents were Mary Edna Van Winkle and Kelly Alston. She was a homemaker and had lived in the area for the past 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hoffpauir, her parents, and sisters; Mary Jo Turner, Jimmie Lou Sanders, and Bobbi Jean Dunn. She is survived by her children; Angie Meeks and husband Pat of Bridge City, TX, Joseph Ortego and wife Jennifer of Sulphur, LA, and Janice Marshall and husband Mark of Orangefield, TX; eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She also leaves three sisters; Peggy Boyer, Johnnie Boyer and Georgie Kingrey.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Marshall, Jr., Jeffrey Stringer, Joey Stringer, Jospeh Scott Ortego, Jr., Jason Stringer, and Kenneth Stringer.
