Norma Jean Holder
Norma Jean Holder, 72, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2017, in Orange, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Stephen Hudnall.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 5:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Miami, Florida, on October 29, 1944, she was the daughter of Paul Moore and Anna Lou (Tant) Moore. Norma had a big heart and loved her grandchildren and great-children more than anything. She loved spending time with her dachshunds and enjoyed playing pool, bingo, and baking. Her Christmas cookies were a family favorite. Norma will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Anna Moore; husbands, Larry Harmon and Donnie Holder; daughter, Cathy Calhoun; grandson, Anthony Harmon; great-grandson, Raylan Metz; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Norma is survived by her children, Paul Harmon and wife Joann, of Orange, John Harmon, of Austin, Anna Harmon, of Orange, Mary Griffis and husband Edward, of Orange, Donnie Holder, Jr., of Hattisburg, and Daniel Holder and wife Andria, of Vidor; grandchildren, Tanner, Cody, and Cade Harmon, Brandon and Zachary Adaway, Christian Metz, Alisha Griffis, Anthony, Caleb, and Barrett Holder, Ashley Warnell, and Rachel Calhoun; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Cheryl Van Pelt, Donna Ashworth, and Paula Merrell and husband Dewayne, all of Orange.
