Norma Hart Lancaster, 74, of Orange, passed away on July 6, 2020, at home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home.
Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on June 27, 1946, she was the daughter of James Norman Lancaster and Bartie Ward Lancaster. Norma graduated from the University of Alabama and Lamar University with a master’s degree. She was a very talented woman who spent 25 years as a music and art teacher for Beaumont ISD, was an interior designer in her younger years. Norma enjoyed horseback riding, teaching her grandkids to swim, and traveling to Galveston for the family annual trip. She left a legacy that will carry on for generations to come. Norma adored her family and fur baby, Jesse above all. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bartie Lancaster; brother, Phillip Lancaster; and sister, Sarah Ruth.
She is survived by her son, Justin Cook and wife Kimberly of Orange; grandchildren, Sierra and Hannah Cook; brother, John Lancaster; niece and nephew, Bartie Hatchman and Chuck Tate.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
