Norman Prejean, 73, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2018, at his home in Bridge City.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2018, beginning at 3:00 p.m., at Bridge Point Fellowship Church, 1355 West Roundbunch Road, Bridge City, Texas. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Bridge Point Fellowship Church, followed by a reception.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on October 5, 1945, he was the son of Emick Prejean and Ida (Miller) Prejean. Norman proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. After working several years in automobile sales, he went on to own and operate Dollarville in Mauriceville. Norman was blessed with a full life and never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting casinos along the coast and was great at fixing things. Norman loved visiting with his family and friends and talking about old times. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emick and Ida Prejean; his son, Derek Prejean; his sisters, Betty Demarsais and Ann Cotter; his brother, Vernon Prejean; and his granddaughter, Megan Procter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Prejean; his children, Charisse Procter of Katy, Renee Thomason and husband Shane of Bridge City, and Devin Prejean and wife Paige of The Woodlands; his grandchildren, Abby, Kennedy, Reagan, Chandler, and Hadley; his sister, Ruth Zampini; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
