Oma Faye McGee, 73, of Orange, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital in Orange.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Faye was born on May 28, 1934, in Decatur, TX. She was the daughter of the late James Claude and Lora Marie LaGrone. Ms. McGee worked as a cashier for the Racetrack on I-10 for a very long time. She will be remembered for her loving, gentle heart and her generous ways.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Rodney McGee and Wayne McGee of Orange; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Edwin Brister of Deer Park, Carolyn and Marlon Farr of Humble, and Sheila Snelgrove and Hampton Rutland of Deer Park; grandchildren, Heather and Troy Brister, Cody and Brandon Farr, Lacie and Colton Snelgrove, Keili Stephens, Robyn and Jimmy Rutland, Cory, Kristain, and Darren Blain McGee, and Carly Evans; great-grandchildren, Aron, Cayden, Madisyn, Maison, and Paige; sisters, Johnnie Granger of Austin and Reva Derk of Oklahoma; brother, Jim LaGrone of Houston; a special niece, Tina Bowen and loving nephews; and previous spouse and friend, Larry McGee of Bridge City.
Serving as pallbearers are Rodney McGee, Wayne McGee, Edwin Brister, Marlon Farr, Hampton Rutland, and Jim LaGrone.
Honorary pallbearers are Troy Brister, Cody Farr, Brandon Farr, Darren McGee, Cory McGee, Colton Snelgrove, and Delbert Bowen.
