Oma “Lynn” Richard
Oma “Lynn” Richard, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 8, 2024, at St. Elizabeth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Antony Paulose. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m., with Deacon Melvin Payne officiating.
Born in Bell City, Louisiana, on August 8, 1943, she was the daughter of Edles Fruge and Artie DeRouen Fruge. Lynn's career at Dupont Credit Union spanned many years as an accounting supervisor, and she was well-respected by her colleagues. Traveling was one of her greatest passions, and she often visited Gulfport, Mississippi. One of Lynn's favorite pastimes was attending car rallies with her husband Kermit. She was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church and remained an active member throughout her life. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary's, where she gave her time and energy to support those in need. Lynn leaves behind beautiful memories that will be forever cherished by all those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edles and Artie Fruge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Kermit Richard; and cousins, Patty, Ronnie, and Phyllis.
