Ora Mae Peveto, 87, of Mauriceville, passed away on September 8, 2020, in Beaumont after a short illness.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas at 1851-1899 County Road 4212, Orange, Texas.

Born in Woodville, Texas, on October 31, 1932, she was the daughter of Henry Waldrep and Lanie (Broom) Waldrep. Ora loved her family, especially her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and her church family of First Baptist Church Mauriceville. She was a devoted, long time member of First Baptist Church for many years where she shared her talents taking care of their gardens. Ora spent many years as a Master Gardener and enjoyed mowing and tending her own yard to perfection as well. Her creative talents included quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She was an inspiration to her children and touched many lives. Ora will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Waldrep and Lanie Milstead; loving husband, Robert George Peveto; grandchildren, Randy Locke and Will Locke and five siblings.

She is survived by her children, Diane Locke and husband Billy of Buna, Larry Peveto and wife Cheryl of Buna,
Robert Peveto and wife Jill of Galveston, Donna Stephens and husband John of Nacogdoches, and Lanie Bingham and husband Eric of Lumberton; grandchildren, Jim West of Buna, Sarah Stockwell and husband Lucas of Vidor, Laura Arbo and husband Matt of Portland, Erin Stephens of Nacogdoches, Tara Holtzclaw and husband Ty of Houston, Tyson Peveto and wife Halie of Germany, Kelly Gathings and husband Dylan of Haslet and Rachel Bingham of Virginia; great grandchildren, Justin Locke, Rachelle Locke, Layne Locke, Hunter Locke, Kaegan Stockwell, Kinley Stockwell, Annalise Tang, John Michael Tang, and Jack Tang; one great-great grandchild, Randelynn Locke; siblings, Andrew Waldrep and Mary Alice Milstead.
