Ose Lee Hawthorn, 81, of Orange, died Saturday, July 12, 2008.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Winfree Baptist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Royal.
Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Ose Lee was born on October 12, 1926 in Weirgate. She was the daughter of Bluitte Edward and Annie Laura Perry Weatherford. She was a long time member of Winfree Baptist Church where she participated in the WMU, prime timers, and the senior choir. She also loved deer hunting with her husband and sons and gardening and sewing. She especially loved taking her grandchildren to the lake fishing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Eston Hawthorn; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Annette Walsh and Billy of Port Neches; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Eston Hawthorn and Leslia of Austin and William Bluitte Hawthorn and Teresa of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kelli Ardoin, Brandi Ellison, Shane Hawthorn, Michelle Hawthorn Whitlow, Dustin Crissey, Erin White, and Shelley Harvey; great-grandchildren, Tanner Ross, Ashlyn Ellison, Kaitlyn Ellison, Emma Crissey, Jordan White, Brian Harvey, Jessica Harvey, Lauren Harvey, Lynsey Harvey, Benjamin Harvey, and Kathryn Harvey; and sister, Velma Robbs.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Ellison, Shane Hawthorn, Tanner Ross, Jimmy Williams, Dennis Hawthorn, and Jeffery Ardoin.
Honorary pallbearers are Roy Roberts, Dicky Romero, Billy Jo Allen, and Billy Bagwell.
