Ouida Mae Lasserre, 84, of West Orange, passed away Monday December 10, 2007 at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Thursday December 13, 2007 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Lasserre was born January 13, 1923 in Gueydan, LA to James Alonso and Marie Mae Foreman Smith. She was a homemaker who enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Father Charles Kirk #1573 in Lake Arthur, LA, a charter member of the Bakers Dozen social club, member of the Arkansas Street Bible Study Club and the Bon Temps Roulez Dance Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd John Lasserre; grandsons, Thad Keith Thibodeaux, Christopher Robert Donaghy and Ryan Patrick Donaghy and sister, Ellen Smith Hebert.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Micaela and Judge Carl K. Thibodeaux of West Orange and son and daughter-in-law, Jude and Susan Lasserre of Houston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tanya Molley and husband Robin, Erin Davison and husband Chad, Tyler Thibodeaux and wife Casey, Colby Lasserre, Richard Lance Faul, Jason R. Suire and great grandchildren, Shane Davison, Cheyenne Davison, Shelby Davison, Dillon Fears, Baelynn Thibodeaux, Mclain Molley and Mikail Molley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Davison, Tyler Thibodeaux, Mike Magnuson, Waid Gauthier, Jamie Molley and Wayne Cooper.
