Patricia Ann Brown, a warm and loving soul, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, in Orange, Texas, at the age of 89. She was born on August 19, 1937, in Orangefield, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Inman. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Patricia dedicated 45 years of her professional life as an account manager for Centerpoint Energy/Entex.
She found immense joy in traveling, meticulously tending to her yard work, and embarking on memorable cruises. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Orangefield, her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved her coffee and comebacks. She only ever drank Seaport coffee, unless she was indulging in a vanilla bean Frappuccino from Starbucks, and was remarkably quick witted, always having a response ready at the drop of a hat. Patricia also held a deep passion for basketball, a sport she loved so much that she once aspired to be a coach. Her kind spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul and Linnie Brown; her grandparents, Clay and Minnie Gryder, and James and Martha Brown; her siblings, Pauline Roberts, Kenneth "Buddy" Brown, and Gene Alexander; and her nephews, Mark Benoit and Pete Quast.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving sister-in-law, Beverly Brown; her brother-in-law, Lee Alexander; her cousin, Rose Coulter; her nieces, Eva Gehrts, Theresa Nichols, Barbara Benoit, Pamela Quast, and Kimberly Wittenberg; her nephew, Shane Alexander; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Quast, Aaron Welch, Brent Smith, Jason DeLaney, Marcus Benoit, and Ricky Benoit.
