Patricia Ann (Mitchon) Lorfing, age 90, rejoined her loving husband, Kenneth R. Lorfing, on Sunday, June 27, 2021. She passed away at Sunrise at Cinco Ranch Assisted Living, a caring and loving community in Katy, Texas.

She was born in Schulenburg, Texas on April 16, 1931 to Anna Kallus Mitchon and August A. Mitchon. Pat was a loving wife and mother to 3 daughters who kept her on her toes! She managed a busy home, cooking, gardening, volunteering at the church and school, working with Camp Fire Girls and she even found time to sew nearly all her daughters’ clothes. Pat had a great fondness for her cats and always had them near her. She is survived by Koko, a stray she rescued from under her back porch during a storm – Koko is currently living with Pat’s youngest daughter, Sandy. Pat and Ken shared their love of gardening by maintaining the flower beds of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for many years. They also cared for the church kitty, Callie Francis. Patricia (Miss Pat) will be lovingly remembered as a bright and shining star by everyone who loved and were loved by her!!

Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Donna Jones (George), Deborah Infanger (Bill), and Sandra Newton (Don); 3 grandchildren, Holly Sanguinet Whalen (Jonathan), Kyle Sanguinet, (Kristi) and Aundria Sowell Curry (Jeremiah); great grandchildren, Nolan and Emerson Whalen and Hannah and Perry Sanguinet; brother, August J. Mitchon, Sr (age 98) and his children, Carol Mitchon Crooks, Jim Mitchon Jr. and their families.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. With a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation and Funeral Mass will both be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4300 Meeks Dr. in Orange, Texas. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 4320 Meeks Dr. in Orange.

Services are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
