Born in Center, Texas, on August 30, 1948, she was the daughter of Jim and Ila Hughes. Patsy was a remarkable woman who carried herself throughout life with an unmistakable grace, elegance, and class. She deeply loved the Lord, studying the Bible into all hours of the night, and carried that love through mentorship in her church, professional, and personal lives. Patsy spent sixteen beautiful years married to James E. Davis, Sr. and after James’s passing, she married Donald “Mark” Coleman, with whom she traveled and shared her impact globally.  As part of ministry, Patsy was able to impact the lives of dozens of young women. During her travels, she always made a point to engage in the communities and cultures she was surrounded by; from joining a women’s group in Australia, to assisting women in abusive marriages from an underground church in Kazakhstan, her compassion and care were felt worldwide. Her truly selfless heart and fierce love of people allowed her to reach many, leaving an incomparable mark on the world of loyalty, safety, and love. Patsy had an incredible passion for life and unmatched strength. With her strong-willed determination, she never let anything slow her down. Patsy was an avid hunter and a long-time member of the High Power Hunting Club and Mustang Hunting Club, along with her husband, Mark. Her love of travel and hunting was combined to create the truly once-in-a-lifetime experience of hunting springbok on a South African safari. Her foremost passion in life, though, was her family. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering, and her greatest joy was felt when surrounded by them. She took every opportunity to gather with those she loved and feed them, and they all looked forward to her incredible cooking and famous red velvet cake. Her legacy of love and care will continue to live on through those fortunate enough to have known her, and she will be deeply missed.

Patsy now reunites with her parents, Jim and Ila Hughes; her first husband James E. Davis, Sr.; and her siblings, James Hughes, LaVerne Rose, and Howard Hughes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Donald "Mark" Coleman; daughters, Michele Jeanise and husband, Donald, and Tisha Davis; sons, James "Jimbo" Davis and wife, Virginia "Ginny," John Davis and partner, Sabrina Patronella, and Shane Coleman and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Kayla Sides and husband, Howard, Mackenzie Davis, Dwight Davis, Montana Davis, Kyndall Davis, Rhys Davis, Cristian Coleman, Sofia Coleman, Greyson Coleman, Donald Jeanise Jr., Kory Langley and wife, Katie, and Scott McCutcheon; great-grandchildren Layla Sides, Kenadi Langley,  Kason Langley, Ouida Sides, Sierra Sides and Carl Sides; siblings, Glen Hughes and Melba Trahan; along with numerous other loving friends and family.

Those serving as pallbearers are Jody Trahan, Scott McDonald, Robert Nelms, Jimmy Grimes, Dwight Davis, and Howard Sides. Honorary pallbearers are Cristian Coleman, Greyson Coleman, Rhys Davis, Donald Jeanise Jr., Scott McCutcheon, and Kory Langley.
