Patti Sue Gresham Goforth, passed away peacefully at her home in Call, Texas on March 28, 2024.  

 

Patti was born in Orange, Texas on November 21, 1951.     She graduated from West Orange High School in 1970 and 

went on to Tyler Jr. College.  There she was an Apache Belle and performed with the Belles

at Dallas Cowboys football games several times.     She and several other Belles appeared on the cover of Parade Magazine with Bob Hope. Patti’s mother would frequently drive to Houston to get ideas for clothes for her at Neiman Marcus, Foley’s and Joske’s. Patti was voted “Best Dressed” several times while in high school, due to her mother’s beautiful work.

 

Patti graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Education and taught in the West Orange School District 

 

for 30 years.    She was the HOST Coordinator for the school district as well.  Patti had a creative mind, and was a true artist, creating beautiful paintings for her family to delight in. She will be remembered most however for the love she showed others. She was a wonderful Mother and Meme and will be dearly missed.

 

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Garland and Helen Gresham and son Keet G. Goforth.  

 

She is survived by her daughter Emily Siau and her husband Todd, granddaughter Hanna Lowe, her fiancé Seth Smith, grandson Cooper Lowe, brother Joe Don Gresham and his wife Cassie, daughter-in-law Shanon Goforth and her son Blane and girlfriend Krysta.  

 

The family would like to thank Olive Branch Hospice for their tender care.  Patti was a devoted teacher, and she loved her family unconditionally.   

 

A private service remembering Patti will be held at a later date.   

 

Donations can be made in Patti’s name to the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, Texas
