Paul Allison Mowery, Jr., born on November 18, 1956, in Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Orange, Texas.
Memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Paul was born and raised in Beaumont, but in 1992 he married the love of his life, Vicki, and they moved to Orange, where they made their home. Later he retired from Solvay after working for many years as an operator. He found immense joy in traveling, particularly trips to the beach and the hill country, but he also loved spontaneous trips to many other places. He enjoyed watching sports, especially drag racing and golf and he and Vicki loved making trips to the casinos together. Paul treasured the time he spent with his beloved family and friends but truly cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Paul was known for his quick wit and sarcasm among his family and friends. He was a sweet, kind, and silly man, remembered by all as a very good man with a quiet yet steady presence. Paul was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, whose gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Mowery, Sr. and Sara Mowery; and his brother, Dale Mowery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Vicki Mowery; his children, Cassi Dillard and Justin Dillard; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dillard and Colten Dillard. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Toni Thompson and husband Don, and Marla Myers and husband Jeff; best friends Kelly and Jody Bahnsen as well as his cherished dogs, Izzy and Luna, and many other loving family and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
