Born in Rockland, Texas to H.J. Worthey and Mertie Inez Pope Worthey, she was the youngest of six children. She met and married her husband, Rev. Herbert H. Hilton, of 48 years at Sabine Tabernacle. She excelled in her spiritual and practical devotion to God, which permeated every area and relationship of her life.
