Peggy Joyce Minyard Morris
On May 5, 2007, Peggy Joyce Minyard Morris passed peacefully away into the arms of her Lord whom she loved and faithfully served everyday of her beautiful life. Born July 27, 1928, in Franklin County, Georgia to Bartow and Rose Minyard. She grew up in Anderson, South Carolina. Peggy met and married the love of her life, Jack Morris. She resided with him in Beaumont, Texas for 51 years where she raised her four beautiful and cherished daughters.

Peggy was active in the family owned business, Jack Morris Siding Co., the Chamber of Commerce, and several Christian organizations including Women?s Aglow and Liberty Bible College of Pensacola, Florida. She and her husband co-founded the Christian Witness Crusade, a missionary ministry that continues to thrive today. But most of all, Peggy was deeply devoted to her family. She so dearly loved her four daughters and their precious children, each of whom were the treasures in her heart. A nurturing, wonderful Mother and ?Nanny?, she will be deeply and profoundly missed by all - her family and her friends, and by the hundreds of young people she so sweetly opened her heart and her home to, those who endearingly called her ?Mama Poo?.
Her lovely sense of life radiated benevolence and joy; her smile, beauty and her nurturing, peace-loving spirit showed us all how to love. Peggy Morris was an unrepeatable heroic individual with an unconquerable soul. Her laughter, beauty, and love will shine on forever more.
Survivors include her four daughters, Kimberly Wiebusch and husband Kenny of Pinewood, Michele Morris of Beaumont, Texas, and Allison and Jennifer Morris of Denver, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Nathan, A.J., Robin, Gentry and Julian Jack; one great grandchild, Baylor, and his lovely mother, Lori; sister, Hazel Baggett and husband Don, brother Lamar Minyard and wife Angela, and sister, Pat Drake and husband, Bob; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Morris, both parents, sister, Mary Brunette, brother Gary Brown, step-father J. W. ?Worley? Brown and nephew Steve Embler.
