Penny Rene Richard, 57, of Bridge City, passed away on December 15, 2020 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 21, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 21, 1963, she was the daughter of Weston Harrington and Agnes (Cormier) Harrington. Penny worked at Just for Kids daycare for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and going to garage sales whenever she could. Penny was one of the most loving, kind souls you would ever meet, and she adored her family more than anything. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was always their number one supporter at all of their events. Penny left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weston and Agnes Harrington; and brother in law, Larry Granger.
She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Richard; children, Ashley Lambert, Heather Sloan, Candice Berlinger, Lacy Brady and husband Paul, and Shelby Robertson and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Leighton Berlinger, Huck Robertson, Molly Robertson, Bentlee Richard, Kade Brady, Landon Floyd, and Avery Floyd; sisters, Judy Granger and Darlene Jennusa and husband Donald.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dewayne Floyd, Joseph Robertson, Terry Richard, Vince Richard, Paul Brady, Aaron Berlinger, and Josh Granger.

Penny, you are such a wonderful woman. Our days will not be the same... You loved my little like he was your own.... You saw him in Wal-Mart one day after his baseball game (in uniform) and just had to get a picture with him and told him you loved him. This is nothing new, you told him that every day.. and even picked on him (especially when I was the last one to get my kid). We will miss you tremendously. For the family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
