Percy Joseph Bordelon, 93, of Orange, passed away on September 22, 2014, at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Tommy Ewing. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24th at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in St. Martinville, Louisiana, on October 5, 1920, he was the son of Abram Bordelon and Beatrice (Barras) Bordelon. Percy served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and retired from Firestone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Beatrice Bordelon; son, Kenneth David Bordelon; and his brother, Pete Bordelon.
Percy is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rainor (White) Bordelon, children, Michael Bordelon of Houston, Barbara Jo Bordelon of Houston, and James Lee Bordelon of Houston; grandchildren, Erika Bordelon Cook and husband Jeff of Dallas and Emily Bordelon Hollingsworth and husband Chuck of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Aidan Cook, Zachary Cook, and Devan Hollingsworth.

Dorothy, I worked with you in receiving at Montgomery Ward. I have thought about you often. That seems like a century ago.
