Priscilla Alameda, 85, of China, Texas was born November 28, 1932 in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana and passed away August 13, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. A celebration of her life and faith will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Reverend Bill Fabriquze officiating. Interment will follow in the China Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Pallbearers will include Jason Throop, Jason Throop II, Kevin Manuel, Jacob Masterson, Richard Throop, Adam Petry and Beau Hale.
Mrs. Alameda was a long-time resident of China where she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She was a retired medication technician from Schlesinger’s Nursing Home. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and seamstress who loved growing and canning vegetables.
She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Felix Alameda; son, Kenneth Manuel and fiancée, Mary Ann Gage; daughters, Debbie Masterson and husband, Audie, Sandra Throop Petry and husband, Jeffrey, Peggy Hale and husband, Jeff; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Pauline (Guillory) Soileau; son-in-law, Richard Throop; 5 sisters and 5 brothers.
