Ralph Baier Fuselier

Ralph Baier Fuselier, 77, of Orange, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Harbor Hospital in Orange. He was born January 7, 1930 in Jennings, LA to Hannah Baier Fuselier and Tonice Fuselier. With his family, he moved to Beaumont during World War II. He was a 1947 graduate of South Park High School and attended Lamar. In 1948, at the age of 18, he volunteered for the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Korea during the Korean War until 1952. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. AT&T with 41 years of service.
On August 11, 1957, Ralph married Louise Dolle in Seguin, TX. He was a loving husband, father Dad, and grandfather Pa. He took great pride in all his children and grandchildren?s accomplishments.
Ralph had many interests and hobbies. Some of which were fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, carpentry, Lionel trains, radio control airplanes, collecting, and reading.
Survivors are his wife, Louise; daughter, Ann Glover and husband Jimmy of Orange; son, Dr. Clay Fuselier and wife Dr. Mary Fuselier of Austin; grandchildren Andrew and Emily Glover, Evelyn, Lucy, Mary Claire, and Susie Fuselier; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Matthies of Seguin; four nephews and one neice. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Jimmy; and sister, Delpha Mack.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 28th at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Reverend Rob Fisher officiating. Interment will be Sunday July 29th at 4:00 p.m. in Seguin, TX at San Geronimo Cemetery Reverend Lonnie Phillips officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Mack, Henry Matthies, Wesley Matthies, Bill Kelly, Jodie Frost, and Bill Seawell. Honorary pallbearers Bill Seal, Gene Chesson, John Henriksen, Joe Hauft, and Paul Knodel.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in Ralph?s memory to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund at 502 N. 6th St. Orange, TX 77630.
