On a very cold night in 1981/82 the HCSO made disturbance call at VFW in Silsbee. Ozzie told me to stand back and watch people. Few minutes later a young lady barefooted headed toward her car right in front of me. Ozzie was right behind her and as she opened the door and bent over, Ozzie fell right on top of her, ran his hand down her arm and under the seat where he brought out a small hand gun. Thanks Ozzie for saving our lives. Jack Langston, Village Mills, TX

I have an empty feeling in my heart that can never be replaced. Good friends are sometimes hard to find, true friends are rare. I feel privileged to consider him a true friend. Miss you and love you like a brother Oz! Jim & Pat Ohlrich

Reflection, upon the many years of having him as my friend, causes me to know for certain that Ralph positively affected a countless number of lives among us. I consider it as a high honor and a privilege to call him my friend. Words simply cannot express the degree of respect and admiration we had for each other. He was “always there” through thick and thin, and we are all very fortunate to have experienced his generous compassion. We love and miss you deeply Oz!! Gene and Laura Furry

"Ozzie was my brother and friend for most of my adult life. He was my mentor and sponsor into Masonry. He and I spent many hours together solving the worlds problems and the world is a much lesser place without him in it. Mike & Kelly Ford, Hobbs NM
