Ramona Galaviz, 90, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday August 11, 2016 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Officiating will be Mr. Walter Littleton of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Lake Charles.
There will be a memorial service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Vidor with Jay Irving officiating.
Born in Bastrop, on March 27, 1926, she was the daughter of Adolfo and Maria Olachia. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her flowers but mostly loved spending time with her family making memories that will never be forgotten.
In January of 1960 she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained active even as of July 29 when she was in attendance with the assistance of her family at the “Remain Loyal to Jehovah” regional convention in Lake Charles, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Victor Galaviz, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Walter Littleton and sons and daughters-in-law, Luis and Sharon Galaviz, Hector Galaviz, Oscar Galaviz and Victor and Jerri Galaviz, Jr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and sister, Simona Del Toro.
Serving as pallbearers will be her sons, Luis Galaviz, Hector Galaviz, Oscar Galaviz and Victor Galaviz, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her 7 grandsons.
