Ramona Theresa Bourgeois Leverett, 81, of Orangefield, Texas died Monday, February 7, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield, Texas. Officiating will be Father George Kidangen. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 ? 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Helen Catholic Church, with Mass and Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Iota, Louisiana on December 1, 1929, Ramona was the daughter of Leo and Elvie Raphaella Gilbeaux Bourgeois. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield. She had worked as a nurse at Lutcher Ann Hospital in Orange, but her most important job was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed bingo and casino trips, and being with her friends and family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. Leverett, Sr.; son, William T. ?Bill? Leverett; grandson, Joseph Edward Burton; nine sisters and four brothers.

Ramona is survived by her children, Paula Bland and husband Leo of McKinney, Jackie Laing of Orangefield, Martin J. Leverett, Jr. of Orangefield, Raphaella Corbello and husband John of Beaumont, and Nancy Beagle of Anna; and grandchildren, Kellie Barfield, Kristie Garrett, Joshua Bland, Shauna Laing, Latouia Sonnier, Jamie Rock, Brittney Leverett, Tiffany Leverett, Craig Leverett, Jeremy Corbello, Tyler Corbello, Candice Leverett, Danielle Beagle, Cody Thomas Leverett, Vladimir Hardy, Savannah Hardy, Ravin Duhon, Troy Bland, Duane Bland, and Martina Corbello.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Dustin Sorge, Destany Sorge, Rebekah Garrett, Allie Rock, Alicia Bland, Jason Bland, Samuel Garrett, and Aiden Leverett.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Earl McClelland, Ewert McClelland, Ronald McClelland, Leo Bland, Johnny Corbello, Brian Lejune, Matthew Garrett, and Joshua Bland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Leverett, Dustin Sorge, Gary Asbury, Vladimir Hardy, and Tyler Corbello.
