Randall “Randy” James Sharpton, 61, of Nederland, Texas passed away on April 1, 2018 in Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Amy Walker, Randy’s niece. Interment will follow the service at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 18, 1956, he was the son of James Sharpton and Euvera Perry Eldridge. Randy worked as a butcher at Market Basket in Port Neches. He went to Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. Randy enjoyed fishing and cheering on his favorite football team, the Rams. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sharpton and Euvera Eldridge; brother, Mark David Sharpton; and grandparents, Eli and Olive Perry and Luther and Edna Sharpton.
Randy is survived by his children, Heath Sharpton Moody and wife Jill, of Fort Worth and Lara Newman and husband Josh, of Fort Worth; 3 grandchildren; his fiancé, Misty Ross and her 3 daughters, DeAnza, Zoey, and Kyra, all of Nederland; sisters, Cheryl Stalnaker and Robert, of Orange and Melissa Forsythe, of Arnold, MO; step-mother, Yvonne Sharpton, of Beaumont; step-siblings, Pam Willis, Sydney Allen, Anthony Walding, and Nita Reeves; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his favorite sidekick, Brutus Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Randall “Randy” Sharpton.
