Randle Ray Weaver, 84, of Bridge City, passed away after a lengthy illness, Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Reverend Bob Boone will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Weaver was born June 25, 1923, in Mansfield, LA, to Thomas Randle Weaver and Nellie Johnson Weaver.
Mr. Weaver retired after 35 years from Texaco Inc. in Port Arthur where he was a supervisor. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a World War II Veteran serving in the European Theater. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Bridge City.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Helen Linder Weaver of Bridge City, son, Randle Weaver Jr. and wife Virginia of Denver, CO, daughter, Cathy Chatelain and husband E.B. of Port Arthur, son, Charles Weaver and wife Carreen of Nederland, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister, Jewel Miles of Olla, LA and brother Robert Weaver of Monroe, LA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Weaver, Stephen Weaver, Jesse Weaver, E.B. Chatelain, Jr., Edward Chatelain, Randy Lowe and Zeb Lowe.
Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Miller.
