Randy Lynn Smith, 52, of Orange, was called to Heaven on Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was a hilarious, very likable man, who never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, cooking pork chops, drinking Mountain Dew, playing practical jokes, and he loved his girls and family very much. Randy was born on February 2, 1962, in Orange. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Smith. Survivors are his parents, Cathy and Charles Latham, his four daughters, Brittanye Smith, Courtney (Smith) Cowart and husband Robert Daniel, Hannah Smith, and Alicia Smith, two grandchildren, Brok and Reilye Willey, siblings, Mark Smith, Robin Smith and Stewart, Pamela (Smith) Ernst Kaspar and Jeff, Charles Latham Jr, Dale Latham and Misty, and Mary Hebert and Lynn. Pallbearers are Matthew and Andrew Ernst, Kaleb Smith, Dan Cowart, Dustin Hamerly, Jeff Kaspar, Stewart Smith, Todd Cooper, Nolan Guidroz, and honorary pallbearer Brok Willey. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 11, from 12:00-2:00, with funeral services following at 2:00 at Claybar funeral home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
