Born in Anson, Texas, on May 31, 1935, he was the son of Clyde Henry Mize and Ava Lee (Caffey) Mize. He was a dedicated plumber and the proud owner of Mize Plumbing, contributing to his community through his skill and hard work. Clyde was a man who cherished his time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Poppy”. He had a deep love for country and gospel music and often enjoyed watching old westerns. Gardening, fishing, and hunting were among his favorite pastimes, and he loved sharing stories about his experiences working in the cotton fields as a young boy. He was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church, where he found great joy and fellowship. Clyde's warmth and stories will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
