Rena Claire Brannon, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2024, at Port Arthur Medical Center in Port Arthur. 


Born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Edwin Quinn and Lucille Norris Quinn. Rena lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family. Her selfless nature and unwavering kindness touched many hearts. Rena's hobbies reflected her creative spirit - she found joy in crochet and embroidery, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones for years to come. Rena also had a deep love for nature and plants, she loved spending time enjoying them whenever she could. Rena worked tirelessly as a caregiver for 35 years, extending her nurturing touch beyond her family to those in need. Family meant everything to Rena. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Mawmaw" or "Grandma." She took delight in spoiling them with love and affection. Those who had the privilege of knowing Rena will remember her as a spirited individual with an unbreakable will until the very end. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lucille Quinn; her brother, Eddie; and her sister, Lucy.

 

She is survived by her children, Lowell Teal, Allen Brannon, April Barcenes and husband, Juan, Lisa Brannon, and Edwin David Quinn; her 12 grandchildren; her 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Denise Lynn; her brother, Frank  Lynn; her niece, Johanna Quinn and husband, Joey; her friend, Randy; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
