Richard dedicated many years as an armored truck driver for Brinks. Beyond his professional life, he found immense joy in the simple pleasures. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley Bordelon; his daughter, Katy Deromie and her husband Mike; his sons, Austin Wall and his wife Jesscia, and James Everett and Erika Smith. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren, Shane Wall and his wife Adriana, Ethan Jones, Layne Elyas, Kaitlyn Ivy and her husband Dalton, Mikey Deromie, Shelby Deromie, and Logan Deromie. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Spencer Ivy and Delilah Ivy. Richard is also survived by his sister, Karyn Rainwater and her husband Glenn; his niece, Amanda Johnson and her husband Keith; along with other nieces, nephews, and many cherished family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Kathryn Bordelon, and his brother, Randy Bordelon.
