Born in Orange, Texas, on July 21, 1982, he was the son of Richard Dale Cheatwood, Sr. and Margaret Ann Tynes. He was a beloved individual with a big heart who everyone considered "the boss." He had an undeniable love for swimming and spent countless hours enjoying the water. Bubba really enjoyed going on boat rides and riding on the golf cart and side-by-side. He also found solace in music. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting on his swing in the yard. Family was incredibly important to Bubba, and he adored spending time with his loved ones. His nephews held a special place in his heart, and he shared a unique bond with them. Their time together was filled with laughter, playfulness, and love. Bubba loved giving hugs and kisses to everyone, especially his mom. To create the perfect ambiance wherever he went, Bubba always had to have a fan blowing and the radio playing in the background. One of Bubba’s cherished traditions was going on trips to Dairy Queen with his mother. Bubba will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Dale Cheatwood, Sr.; his grandparents, Billy and Helen Tynes, and William and Stella Cheatwood; his aunt and uncle, Betty and Wallace Shute; and his cousin, Leslie Woodard Mays.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Ann Tynes; his siblings, Cassie Hantz and husband, Chris, Josh Cheatwood, Daniel Cheatwood, and Lexi Cheatwood; his nephews, Corban Hantz and Cavan Hantz; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Tynes, James Davis, Brian Sheppard, B.J. Sheppard, Bennett Hatcher, and Josh Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Boy Collins, and Jacob Smith.

When Bubba(little Doe-Doe) was born, I was 13 years old. He was one of my first “ introductions “ to someone who had special needs. I immediately fell in love with him and knew I wanted to be around more of others like him. . His smile and ways were contagious! Even though, as we all got older and went on our ways, and when I because a Special Education teacher, Bubba was always the first people I spoke up when I was asked why I chose that profession. Thank you Bubba for introducing me to knowing what it means to love and care for so many people just like you. You will be forever missed by so many here on earth. You are made whole and now in heaven with a new body and new mind. Margie, Cassie and Josh - Bubba was very blessed to be loved and cared for by you ! Not all like Bubba have what he had, I will continue to pray for the hole in your heart to be filled with precious memories and love that you feel from other!
