Richard Lee “Rusty” Quigley, 84, of Bridge City, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at The Meadows in Orange.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Quigley, Cory Quigley, Cody Quigley, Jeff Burton, Patrick Scott, and Clint Perkins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Bridge City.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on February 12, 1930, Rusty was the son of Richard Lee Quigley, Sr. and Velma (King) Quigley. Rusty was an electrician at Firestone, where he retired. He served proudly in the Navy and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Bridge City. Rusty had a passion for saltwater fishing, his family, hard work, and would often spend time in his beach-side cabin. He was fondly loved and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie N. Quigley; sister, Jill Edwards; and brother-in-law, Floyd Edwards.
Rusty is survived by his son, Mike Quigley of Bridge City and daughter, Patricia Ann Burton and husband, Stephen of Austin.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, and Cory Quigley and his wife, Kristin, all of Bridge City, Jeff Burton of Austin, and Lisa Scott and husband, Patrick of Houston; great-grandchildren, Konner Quigley and Abigail Scott and nephew, Rick Edwards.
