Richard R. Pachuca, Sr., 94, of Orange, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, at his residence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange, with Reverend Joseph P. Daleo serving as celebrant.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, under the auspices of Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. and will be led by Deacon Melvin Payne.
Mr. Pachuca was born May 4, 1914, in Silado, Mexico, to Juanita Ramirez and Marcelo Pachuca.
Mr. Pachuca served in the US Navy during WWII.
He retired from Texaco in Port Arthur after 32 years of service.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed working in his
garden and loved to fish and hunt.
Mr. Pachuca was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alejandra Pachuca in 2000, his grandson, Richard Errol Toomey in 1999, granddaughter, Christine Garcia in 2004, four brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters, Richard Pachuca, Jr. and wife Jackie Ann, Bobbie Jean Toomey and husband John all of Orange, Dora Lowe and husband Dalton, Lupe Brown and husband, Donald, and Rudy Pachuca all of Mauriceville; sister, Josephine Flores of Houston; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Toomey, Patrick Toomey, Michael Toomey, Dalton Lowe, David Lowe, Heath Hensley and Ben Prosperie.
