Ricky Gene Goats, 58 was born November 21, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas. He attended and graduated from Bridge City High School, being part of the class of ‘75. He also attended Lamar University. Ricky was a long time resident of Lake Jackson, where he owned a successful painting business.
"Uncle Rick" was best known for his generosity and his ever-positive spirit no matter what life dealt him at the time. He was loved by family and friends alike, and will be missed down here no matter how much the Lord needed him up there.
"Uncle Rick" went to be with the Lord Friday, July 5th, 2013. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, A.C. (Al) Goats. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Goats, brother Ross Goats, sisters Sondra Mora, and Shana Maceda, as well as 7 nieces, nephew, and great nephew. Ricky is also survived by his former wife, Sandie Goats.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2013 at Claybar Funeral Home 800 Highland Ave. Bridge City, TX. 77630.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to American or British Diabetes Association in Ricky's memory.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ricky, and of observing his work first hand as he did a great job painting my house. A gentleman of the first order, and of a fine family. It is sad to see old friends go, but my memories of Ricky are good ones. May such memories sustain the family in this time of their loss.
