Ricky Joseph Hodgkinson, 61, of San Leon, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery in West Orange, Texas. Officiating the service will be his brother, Cecil Hodgkinson.

Born in Orange, Texas, on March 9, 1958, he was the son of Cecil Joseph Hodgkinson and Jannie Lynn Graham Shelton. Ricky was a native of Orange, Texas, and graduated from West Orange High School. He spent many years working as a welder. He enjoyed football and was an avid Redskins fan. Ricky loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil J. Hodgkinson; and his brother, Ronald Lee Hodgkinson.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Jannie Lynn Shelton; his brother, Cecil Hodgkinson and wife Lyndell, of Orange; sister, Kay Lynn Kershner, of San Leon; nephews, Rick Dearing and wife Marla, Philip Hodgkinson and wife Angela, Chad Kershner, and Kevin Kershner and wife Kelsey; great-nephew, Alex Kershner; uncles, L. J. Hodgkinson, Charles Hodgkinson and wife Rosemary; and his aunt, Francis Hodgkinson; along with numerous cousins and other loving family and friends.
