Robert “Bobby” Anderson
Robert “Bobby” Anderson, 62, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on, Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lani Rousseau. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Bobby was born in Orange, Texas, on February 2, 1961. He was the son of Tommy Lee and Beverly (Mathews) Anderson and a member of First United Methodist Church in Orange. He was loving, kind, and hard working. Bobby was employed at Gopher Industrial for more than 15 years. He considered his coworkers as “family” and cherished them all. Bobby enjoyed bowling, golfing, target shooting, playing wahoo and watching NASCAR. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at the lake with his brothers, Tommy and Andy. Bobby and his wife, Trisha, have one son, Zackery, who was the light of his life.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Anderson; sister, Ruthie Edwards; brother-in-law, Jimmy Shavers; sisters-in-law, Diane Shavers and Colleen Hill; and niece, Shara Ellis.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Beverly Anderson; loving wife of 39 years, Trisha Anderson; son, Zackery Anderson; brothers, Tommy Anderson and wife, Amy; Andy Anderson and wife, Cris; and Jeffrey Anderson and wife, Darlene; sister, Anna Killian and husband, Bill; brother-in-law, Mike Flannigan and wife, Ruth; along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great niece, great-great-nephews, and other family and friends who he loved them all dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Anderson, Andy Anderson, Scott Shavers, Adam Anderson, Jacob Edwards, Evan Condron, and Frank Moore.

The family of Bobby wishes to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful loving care and a special thanks to family members and friends for their love, support, and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church Orange at, 502 6th Street, Orange, Texas 77630.

I have such fond memories of the whole Anderson family from over 40 years ago; I don't know that I've ever met a kinder one. Bobby was funny, sweet, energetic and kind. My prayers are with you all.

Trish, I know there is some peace for you now that Bobby is no longer suffering. Lean on God, family and friends to get you through this part of life's journey. Trish and Zackery - No one can prepare for this type of loss. Sending you strength at this time along with all the hugs and prayers from me to you all.
