Robert “Bob” Bienvenu, Jr
Robert A. Bienvenu Jr. (Bob), 87, of Beaumont, TX, went to join the Lord and be with his wife Betty Dellene Parish Bienvenu on April 27, 2023. Born in his parent’s home in St. Martinsville, LA, on September 19, 1935, he was the oldest child of Robert A. Bienvenu Sr. and Adolphina Melancon Bienvenu.
Bob was a member of the armed forces and longtime employee of DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange, TX. Bob had a passion for supporting youth sports, camping and hunting. He joined PONY Baseball starting in 1968 which allowed him to travel all over the United States, he was awarded a ring for over 40 years of service from PONY Baseball which he wore with pride. Bob joined the Golden Triangle Volleyball Association to continue his love and support of youth sports and refereed games until he was 84 years young. He was thrilled to see his home state’s New Orleans Saints win a Superbowl in 2010 and the current World Champion Houston Astros win their 2nd title in 2022.
Bob and Betty raised 3 boys. They introduced Mike, Jimmy, and Robert (Bobby) to baseball, camping and hunting at a very early age, which was mainly to get the boys out of the house. Dad loved hunting in Texas and Colorado over the last 50+ years and went on his last wilderness mule deer and elk hunt in November 2022.
