A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert Frederick "Bob" Wohler, Jr., 56, of Beaumont will be held Monday, September 29, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m.

Bob was born September 2, 1952 in Chicago, IL and passed away September 25, 2008 at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth. Bob graduated from Holy Cross High School in Chicago and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He continued his education at Lamar University from May 1979 through May 1981. Bob was a faithful Marquette Alumni.

Bob was a proud member of the ROTC 1975 through 1977. He entered the military as a 2nd Lt and graduated a 1st Lt. He served in the 1st Battalion 7th Calvary Division, trained at Ft. Knox Kentucky where he directed the army supply for his Battalion. He studied chemical warfare at Aberdeem Proving Ground, Maryland. Bob served in the National Guard and remained in the Army Reserve. He did not resign his commission until the fall of 1990.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lynn Wohler of Beaumont; mother, Alice Wohler of Munster, IL.; son, Robbie Wohler of Beaumont; sister, Jane Kralick and husband, John of Val Pariso, IN; brother, Stephen Wohler of Wakefield, MA; sister-in-law, Gina Wohler O'Shea and husband, Michael of Wakefield, MA; brother-in-law, Buzzy Sylvester of Wakefield, MA; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Bob was a great Son, Husband, Dad, Brother-in-Law, a beloved Uncle, a good neighbor and precious friend. He will be tremendously missed by us all.

Lynn and Robbie want to extend a special thanks to Bob's care giver team, to Pat and Glenn Sanderson, all of their sisters and his brothers-in-law. Thanks to Terry Demboski and all the employees at TXDOT, to the employees in all the counties Bob worked with and to all of Beaumont, Orange, Nederland, Newton, Hardin, and Jasper Tax Office employees; to Dr. David Hong, his Nurse Jackie and the Staff at the M. D. Anderson Center for Targeted Therapy, to Dr. George Thomas, to Millette DeVille, my niece, who works at M. D. Anderson for all of her help in arranging Bob's appointments and keeping us straight, Dr. Robt. Birdwell and the TOPA Group for all their help and research, Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Mary Eagen, Dr. Herman Gerhardt and the E. R. Staff.

Our lives were made easier with all this help. We will be forever grateful.
