Robert Lloyd Lee, 93, of Sour Lake, passed away on April 13, 2023 in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, at China Cemetery in China, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born in Arcadia, Louisiana, on August 3, 1929, he is the son of Thomas Lee and Myrtle (McConathy) Lee. Robert was a proud member of the United States Navy. He went to work for Texaco as a machinist and retired after 30 years of employment. During his retirement Robert was a camp ranger at Camp Waluta and a handyman who enjoyed carpentry work. Robert was a member of the NRA, loved country music, and adored his family more than anything. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Nelda Mae Lisbony and wife, Shirley J. Lee.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Moneypenny and husband Gary of Overton, Jennifer Jannise and husband Nathan of China, and Robert Lane Lee of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Brittany Jannise Weldon and Jeremy David Jannise; great grandchildren, AJ Weldon; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Moneypenny, Matt Robinson, Lane Lee, Jeremy Jannise, Sean Weldon, and Nate Jannise.
