Bobby was born in Victoria, Texas, on February 28, 1935, to loving parents, Ray and Alice Moore. From a young age, Bobby learned the importance of family, a strong work ethic and education. He excelled in academics and was named Valediction of the Orangefield High School class of 1953. Bobby’s thirst for knowledge extended beyond the classroom. He started his first job during his senior year to earn money for personal items and his passion-building hotrods with his older brother, Richard. Bobby also worked for his brothers in their carpentry business. He was a natural and enjoyed helping family and friends with carpentry projects. He taught his sons the value of working with your hands, resulting in generations of skilled carpenters in the Moore family. After high school, Bobby met the love of his life, Myrtice “Babe” Street. They were married for 62 wonderful years. Their amazing relationship was firmly rooted in their strong faith, love of family, love of friends and love of life. Bobby was committed to giving Myrtice and his children a great life and secure future. He worked for Arco Polymers for 25 years and then later retired. But his career was far from over. A Houston company, Soltex, offered him a position in research and development that would allow him to make a positive contribution to his field and travel the world. He worked for Soltex for 18 years. At his retirement dinner, Soltex presented Robert Moore with their highest honor, giving him the Distinguished Presidential Award. After retirement, Bobby enjoyed fishing, watching the Astros and Cowboys games, spending time with family and friends, and firing up the grill for holiday dinners. He was blessed with a long, happy, beautiful life. His kind heart, patience, love, faith, and generosity touched many lives. Robert Moore will forever be remembered as a good man that did good for others.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice Moore; sons, Larry Dale Moore and Jon “Randy” Moore; sister, Mary Cornell; brothers, Henry Moore, John Moore, and Richard Moore; and his beloved chihuahuas Roco and Macy.

He is survived by his daughter, Mitzi Stevens and husband Mark Stevens; son, Charles “Chuck” Moore and wife Mary Moore; daughter-in-law, Kelly Moore; grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Lila Stevens, Charlie Stevens, Luke and Cici Moore, Zac and Kendyl Moore, Jake Moore and Chloe Moore, Katelynn Canady, and Rodney Hoes; great grandchildren, Hunter Stevens, Avery Stevens, Margeaux Stevens, Zee Moore, Charlotte Moore, and Jonah Moore; great great grandchild, Lacey Moore; as well as other loving family and friends.
