Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and dedicated his life to his career and community. He retired from Mobil Oil Refinery as a Maintenance Supervisor after many loyal years. Described as always offering a helping hand, Robert's personality endeared him to many. His hobbies included going on drives through town, engaging in local politics, and attending community meetings. Beyond his professional life, Robert found joy in giving back to the community through mission work. One of his proudest accomplishments was the mission work he did with his wife Alice in Dulac, Louisiana for over 10 years after Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, and Rita with the United Methodist Committee on Relief. Robert was also a part of the Orange Christian Services, where he made a meaningful impact on those around him.
