Robert William Owens

Funeral services for Robert William Owens, 63, of Beaumont will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Moody and Reverend Mark Adams officiating. Interment will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Springs Cemetery in Jasper County. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2009 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Robert was born January 17, 1946 in Jasper, Texas to the late Uel Wesley and Margaret Louise Withers Owens. He died June 14, 2009 at his residence from pancreatic cancer.
A 1963 graduate of Warren High School, Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Lamar University in 1968. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Beaumont and retired as an engineer from Motiva.
He is survived by his wife, Jody Owens of Beaumont; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richmond Holly of Beaumont; son, Jonathan Owens of Beaumont; four grandchildren, Emma, Kate, Richmond II, and Wyatt Holly; and one sister, Kaye Wood of Weatherford, Texas.
