Robert Weldon "Sam" Dunn, 84, of Mauriceville, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home in Orange.
Born in Lemonville, Texas on April 25, 1926, Sam was the son of William T. and Mary Brown Dunn. Sam was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a supervisor in receiving at Temple Eastex in Evadale and also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Lee Dunn, Sam is survived by his daughter, Gayla Nugent and husband, William of Orangefield; sons, Robert "Bubby" G. Dunn and wife, Angie of Mauriceville, John C. Dunn and wife, Kristie of Mauriceville, and James D. Dunn of Mauriceville; and daughters, Rhonda Graham and husband, Dale of Vidor, and Shannon Tinsley of McLewis.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sara Welch, Leah Watson, Amy Nugent, LeAnna Malveaux, Lindsay Fletcher, Cody Dunn, Michael Patrick, Clay Dunn, Clint Dunn, Taylor Tinsley and John Lucas; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Asa Dunn and Wilson Dunn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Robert Dunn, John Dunn, James Dunn, Clay Dunn, Clint Dunn and Michael Patrick.
