Robie Jed Robbins Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on November 23, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, he was the cherished son of Kenneth Burnet Robbins and Donnie Ware.
Robie leaves behind his devoted wife, Sheila Faye Bush, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating countless memories with their family. He is survived by his son, Robie, and daughter-in-law, Amanda, whose children, Blakely and Emmy, brought him immense joy. Robie loved being an uncle to Christopher, his wife Brittany, and their children, Lila and Reid, along with many other nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
In his professional life, Robie excelled in car sales and management, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his career, he was known for his infectious spirit and love for life. Robie had a passion for music, often found dancing to live tunes or belting out karaoke favorites. He enjoyed playing guitar, swimming, and hitting the golf course whenever he could.
Above all, Robie treasured the time spent with his family. He loved a cold Miller Lite in his hand, a fire on a cool night, and taking care of the people he loved. A diehard Cowboys, Astros and University of Texas fan, he enjoyed sports every part of the year. His son was a source of immense pride, and he adored his daughter-in-law. Perhaps the greatest joy in his life came from the arrival of his two granddaughters, Blakely and Emmy, who could always count on their G-Dawg for a silly joke or a warm smile.
Robie was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth B. Robbins. He is also survived by mother, Donnie, and siblings Jolie and Kim Hebert, who will remember him for his unwavering support and love.
In honor of Robie’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization that was near to his heart, these past five years.
A celebration of life will be held at later date.
Robie Jed Robbins Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
