Rogene Sexton

October 13, 1918 — April 21, 2007

Rogene Sexton, 88 of Beaumont passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Clairmont Nursing Home. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 12.00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
A native of New Iberia, LA, she was born October 13, 1918 to Paul and Elna LeBlanc Marquette. After coming to Beaumont in 1948, Rogene worked for many years at The White House Dry Goods department store at both locations, downtown and Gateway.
She was a loving wife and mother and an outstanding cook who enjoyed entertaining friends and relatives with delicious meals. Trying new recipes was one of her hobbies. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and could crochet beautifully. Family members have many treasured items made by her hands. Her greatest pleasure, however, was gatherings with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Sexton is survived by her daughters, Tommie Mazzola of Kountze, Paula Bevilacqua and her husband, Joe of Tulsa, OK and Janie Sexton of Beaumont; grandchildren, Michelle Bumstead and husband, David, Missy Atkins and husband, Todd all of Kountze and Dr. Paul Bevilacqua and wife Anne, of Tulsa, OK; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Paul Sexton, sister, May Lois Hilburn, son-in-law, Joe Mazzola and great grandson, Cade Atkins.
