Roger Dale Mahon

Roger Dale Mahon, 68, of Orange, passed away on October 15, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August, 24, 1951, he was the son of R.D. Mahon and Mary Kate Mahon. Roger retired from working as a welder for many years. In his spare time Roger liked to fish and also played the drums in several different bands in South East Texas. He was a wonderful husband and “Paw Paw”. Roger will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents R.D. and Mary Mahon, and 10 siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Ruby Mahon; son, Brandon Mahon of Bridge City; step-children, Ruby Johnson and Justin Kovatch of Pinehurst, and Vanessa Buckland of Orangefield; grandchildren, Katrian, Myha, Silas, Vivien, Emily, Skylar, Nakona, Temperance, and Robert; great grandchild, Catherine Mae; brother, Milton Mahon and wife Marion of Bridge City; and best friend James Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the American Legion in Orange.
