Ronald Lynn Burton, 86, of Orange, passed away on November 6, 2021, in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on March 8, 1935, he was the son of Arthur Burton and Flavia (Ayo) Burton. Ronald served bravely in the United States Army. He worked for GM for 38 dedicated years. Ronald had a deep love and appreciation for hot rods, often driving his Corvette around and showing it off. He raised five children, and adored each of them incredibly. He was a wonderful father, husband and brother and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Flavia Burton; first wife, Amber Woodruff Burton; second wife, Grace Dupree Burton; daughter, Melody Sievert; granddaughters, Brandy Whitbread and Chantel Whitbread; and son-in-law, George Whitbread.
He is survived by his children, Karen Whitbread, Priscilla LaBelle and husband David, Ron Burton and wife Wendy, Vance Burton, Bruce Matteson; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Ronald’s family will be having a private graveside service at a later date by invitation.
