We lived on the prairie off Foreman Rd. Ronnie bought his first Beagle Hound from my father. We became friends and he came out often to hunt with us. Sometimes he would bring his Pointer bird dog an we would hunt Quail, Doves, & Jack Snipe. When he was drafted into the service , he ask Dad if he would keep his Beagle Hound and he agreed to. One evening when Dad went hunting Ronnie's hound never came home. Several months later Dad was running the hounds and walking a RR track about mile south of home when he found the dogs collar. He had got run over by a train. When Ronnie returned home Dad was able to give him his collar but not his Hound Dog. Dan Rach Jr.

Growing up in the that neighborhood with Ronnie, I can say that he cared more for the people surrounding him than anybody else. He watched out for their houses, their properties, and in my case their kids. He was truly a man to be admired and looked up. He set the bar and lowered it for no one regardless of cause or excuse. He freely shared his wisdom and experiences and was an inspiration to us all. If everybody adhered to his level of integrity or respect, the world would be a better place. Ronnie will certainly be missed, but stories of his life will be retold for generations to come. Chad Havens

Judy, I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie...however I must admit that I smiled when I thought about Dad this morning greeting him with fishing pole in hand. They will have eternity to talk, fish, hunt and wait on the rest of us. Ronnie was a great friend to Dad and our family is grateful to you for sharing him with us. My God gives you His peace and comfort. From all of us: Judge Dean's family.

Saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing. He was a great guy, especially one very rainy night in 1973, when he carried me to Orange Memorial from DuPont with the first of many kidney stones. He always laughed about it, I don't remember too much because of the pain, but he said I was all over that old van the plant used as an ambulance.

I remember Ron as quiet and very humble and he had a special connection and love of dogs. Prayers of peace and comfort to family and friends.
