Ronald Ely Slaughter
Ronnie Slaughter, 73, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on November 18, 2023, in Tilden, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Bridge City United Pentecostal Church. Officiating will be Reverend Murry Ray. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Bridge City United Pentecostal Church.

Born in Orange, Texas, on August 24, 1950, he was the son of Johnnie Ely Slaughter and Nell Rose Cruse Slaughter. Ronnie was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Known as a go-getter and always early to everything, he could always be counted on to make sure everyone was taken care of. He loved to help people with anything they needed, even helping others to find jobs. Ronnie was the proverbial man’s man who loved hunting and fishing and could fix absolutely anything with string. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Nell Slaughter; his brothers, Johnny Slaughter, and Timothy Duwayne Slaughter; his brother-in-law, James Abshire; and his sister-in-law, Charlotte Slaughter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Debbie Slaughter; his children, Rowdy Slaughter and wife, Michele, Rebyn Wiegand and husband, Derek, and Rory “Row” Slaughter and wife, April; his grandchildren, Chase Slaughter, Balei Slaughter, Jadyn Wiegand, Jaci Wiegand, Abby Slaughter, and Roc Slaughter; his siblings, Sandra Abshire, Molly Hogan, Peggy Aaron, Jean Parker and husband, Tom, and Lorrie Gallien and husband, Robert; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Stutes, Anthony Goss, Jeff Johnston, Louis Miller, Ben Thibodeaux, and Adam Plessala. Honorary pallbearers are Bryant Rodrigues, Jadyn Wiegand, Chase Slaughter, and Roc Slaughter.
